Business Mentoring
"The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image, but giving them the opportunity to create themselves."
Running a business isn’t easy.
It can mean long hours, challenges that can feel insurmountable, having to learn a gazillion new things (because of the many hats you need to wear), being responsible for making critical decisions, and sometimes, it can just feel lonely.
Mentors won’t step in and do things for you (that’s what consultancy is for). However, they can offer guidance and support, be a ‘brain to pick’ or a sounding board, fill a gap in your knowledge or experience, offer a fresh perspective, help with networking and making new connections, hold you accountable (it’s over-used but true, you’re so busy working ‘in’ the business that you never get the time to work ‘on’ the business), and they can support you in your personal development.
We are experienced in providing in-person or virtual mentoring to business owners and professionals from diverse sectors, including regulated industries, recruitment, tourism, engineering, retail, and digital technologies.
Whilst single sessions can be provided and can be useful for troubleshooting a particular issue, the best results are achieved through a 6 or 12 week programme.
Participants in our programmes are:
- Small or medium-sized business owners seeking a confidential, trusted, and experienced mentor to support them in developing and growing their business.
- Business owners or professionals seeking expert mentoring on specific subject areas, such as marketing, tendering, or employee experience.
